Erik Frederick, M.H.A., joined the Baptist Health System team as the CEO for Mission Trail Hospital in late 2022.

Erik has extensive experience in all aspects of hospital management, including strategic planning, overseeing staff, budgeting, and financial execution. We are welcoming Erik back to Baptist. He served as Director of Operations and Safety at Baptist Medical Center in previous years. Erik comes to us most recently from Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, where he was Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to Mercy Hospital, Erik was COO for Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, ME, a part of Coastal Healthcare Alliance. He has also served as COO for Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, part of Vanguard Health Systems, our former parent company.

Erik is a decorated former U.S. Army Intelligence Specialist having served in Signals Intelligence. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Administration degrees from the University of Phoenix.
